. Large villa with separate accommodation
. Panoramic OPEN VIEWS
. Spacious property
. Meditation room
This unique property in the hills on the outskirts of Monda has been run as a Yoga Retreat but could equally be a B&B.
The property sits in an elevated position with panoramic views feeling very private with no other properties overlooking the villa or the garden. Double wooden antique doors welcome you to the property and the central lounge with central feature fireplace and double patio doors leading to the terrace and landscaped gardens.
To the left of the lounge is the kitchen and diner and snug, this is the heart of the home and connects the centre of the house to the guests facilities.
Leading from the kitchen/dining room you have the a utility room, guest bathroom and meditation room - these rooms can all be shut off from the main house in order for both the guests and owners to have the privacy. The meditation room has a lovely vibe and has direct access to the pool area and other guest facilities which include the bar, accommodation and yoga platform.
The separate accommodation is blank canvas at the moment for the new owners to design as they wish.
Monda is a pretty, whitewashed village at the edge of natural park Sierra de las Nieves, just 15 minutes from the coast of Marbella. Life is peaceful here and at a slow pace. Locals great each other passing by and always have time for a chat or a coffee. Although Monda is an authentic Spanish village, the locals mix very well with the other nationalities present in the village (Dutch, English, Swedish, German).
For a small town, you will be surprised about what this lovely place has to offer. Monda attracts a big group of students each year, as the Marbella Design Academy is situated on the outskirts of the village. There are quite a few bars, restaurants and even two clubs for the younger generation, which are always busy! The fish restaurant with secret garden is a lovely place to enjoy whatever is available that day.. Bar Luna is the place to be and offers the best breakfast and tapas in town, next to live entertainment in Summer.
The village has everything you need, and more: a small supermarket, local bakery, pharmacy, vet clinic, weekly fruit market and did we mention the churros truck on Sunday mornings? The community pool is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and if you continue walking, you can explore the beautiful national park Sierra de las Nieves. This is the ideal place for hiking, biking, motor crossing and horseback riding.
At the top of the mountain, overlooking the village, is its most famous feature: 'Castillo de Monda', the Monda castle. The hotel, run by Dutch hosts, also has a fabulous restaurant with stunning views over the village and all the way to Málaga.
Monda is 30 minutes ( 37 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The coast of Marbella is only 15 minutes ( 15 km.) away.
